“Roster” Template Type for Emails, Texts, and Prints.

A new “Employee schedule / Roster” template type has been added, which holds all rostering tags for emails, prints, and text messages. This allows businesses to better customize their communication with employees, ensuring that important scheduling information is seamlessly integrated into their email and text communications.

List of available tags for roster template:

  • {DisplayName}
  • {FirstName}
  • {LastName}
  • {EmployeeRef}
  • {JobTitle}
  • {TimeTable}

Email Functionality for Employee Roster

Geelus has introduced a new feature in the “Employee Working Hours / Roster” section under the “Tools” menu, enabling businesses to easily email single or multiple rosters to employees with just a click. This streamlined process makes it easier to share employee schedules efficiently.

To get started with this feature, you’ll need to create an email template using the “Employee Schedule/Roster” type. Once the template is set up, you can easily send rosters to your employees. You can either click the “Email” option below a user’s name to send the roster to a single employee, or select multiple employees from the list and click the “Email” button to send rosters to multiple users at once.


Note: Ensure that each employee’s email address is correctly set up under Settings -> Users to avoid any issues when sending rosters.

Export Roster Feature

Geelus now supports an “Export Roster” feature, enabling businesses to easily export employee schedules and working hours in a convenient format.

The export feature can be accessed under Tools -> Employee Working Hours/Schedule. Simply click on the export icon to download the roster in your preferred format; CSV or Excel.

New Role Setting to Restrict Roster Viewing

A new role setting has been introduced, allowing businesses to restrict access to employee rosters. With this feature, users can now be restricted to viewing only their own roster, ensuring that sensitive scheduling information is not shared beyond what is necessary. This can be enabled through “Settings -> Roles” under the “Can view other employees’ working hours / roster” option, providing greater control over employee data privacy.

{TransactionJson} Tag for Integration with Other Applications

Geelus has introduced the {TransactionJson} tag, enabling smoother integration with third-party applications. This tag offers a well-structured format for transaction data, allowing external systems to easily access and process key transaction details. By enhancing the platform’s ability to work with other tools, this update increases Geelus’ flexibility and ensures seamless data sharing for improved workflows and analysis.

Customer Info Added to {TransactionDetailSummary} Tag (Bulk Invoicing)

The {TransactionDetailSummary} tag now includes customer information, along with additional fields, making it even more powerful for bulk invoicing purposes. This enhancement helps businesses better track and manage customer-related details during the invoicing process.

Company-Wide Availability of Price Books

Geelus now allows businesses to make “Price Books” available across the entire company. This feature enables a single, unified price list to be used across all stores, ensuring consistency in pricing and simplifying price management, especially for businesses with multiple stores.

This can be adjusted by going to Settings -> Items -> Pricebooks and then check or uncheck the box for “Available on all stores” to make the price book available across all stores or limit it to store level.

Company-Wide Availability of Surcharges and Discounts

With the latest update, Geelus allows businesses to manage surcharges and discounts company-wide, instead of just on a store level. This means that businesses can ensure consistent discount and surcharge practices across all stores, improving data tracking and offering a more unified approach to customer pricing.

This can be adjusted by going to Settings -> Surcharges/Discounts and then check or uncheck the box for “Available on all stores” to make the discount/surcharge available across all stores or limit it to store level.

SKU in Items Report Export

The export functionality for the “Items Report” now includes SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) data. This allows businesses to track inventory more effectively by ensuring that all relevant product information, including SKUs, is included in exported reports.

Link to Group Option for Easier Transaction Grouping

Geelus introduces a new “Link to Group” option, allowing transactions to be grouped under a specific customer group more easily.

To link a customer to a group, simply add or search for the customer, click the three dots, select Link to “Group Contact”, and then choose the desired group account.

Note: This feature will not link the customer to a group permanently; it is only temporary.

Added “Day of Week” to Transaction Allocation Section

The “Day of Week” feature has been added to the transaction detail page’s allocation section. Now, when assigning a job to an employee, the day of the week will be displayed alongside the allocation date, making it easier to track and manage work schedules.

New Role Setting: “Can Edit Transaction Process Date”

A new role setting has been introduced in Geelus to give administrators more control over who can modify the transaction process date. By enabling this role setting, users can grant or restrict access to editing the process date of a transaction, ensuring that only authorized personnel can make such changes.

This feature can be enabled/disabled through Settings -> Roles -> Under features, check/uncheck the box for Can edit process date option.

To edit the process date/time:

  1. Navigate to Transaction History.
  2. Open the transaction you wish to edit.
  3. Click on the Processed % and then click on the date/time to edit it.

New Role Setting: “Can Edit Transaction Collection Date”

With the new role setting, businesses can now specify who is authorized to edit the transaction collection date. This allows more control over who can modify when a customer collects their order, ensuring that only designated individuals can make changes to this important detail.

This feature can be enabled/disabled through Settings -> Roles -> Under features, check/uncheck the box for Can edit transaction collection date option.

To edit the collection date/time:

  1. Navigate to Transaction History.
  2. Open the transaction you wish to edit.
  3. Click on the collected next to the item name and then click on the date/time to edit it.

New Role Setting: “Can Manually Enter Progress % When Marking Done”

This new role setting empowers businesses to control who can manually enter the progress percentage when marking tasks or orders as completed. By enabling this feature, designated users can update the progress percentage, ensuring that the status of orders is accurately reflected in the system. To enable/disable this feature,

  1. Navigate to Settings -> Roles
  2. Under features, check/uncheck the box for Can manually enter progress % when marking done option.

HR Added to HTML Designer

Geelus has enhanced the HTML Designer with the addition of the “HR” (Horizontal Line) feature, providing users with an easy way to insert a horizontal line into their email or page templates.

Preventing Overlapping Shifts for Multi-Store Businesses

Geelus now offers an enhanced feature that helps prevent overlapping shifts for employees working across multiple stores. This update is especially beneficial for businesses with multiple locations, as it ensures that employees’ schedules do not conflict, helping to optimize staffing levels and prevent operational issues.

Enhanced Styling for Appointments and Pickup/Delivery Across All Platforms

The latest update brings a significant improvement to the styling of appointments and pickup/delivery features across all platforms. With a more streamlined and visually appealing interface, businesses can provide a better user experience for both their staff and customers.

Outsourcing Feature Moved to “Settings -> Register”

To improve user navigation and organization, the outsourcing feature has been moved to the “Settings -> Register” section.
