Each staff has a unique pin number to be used when working with the software. (if you haven’t created your users, click here to know how)
All employees start the day by clicking Tools -> Time sheet and selecting Clock-In.
Any time a customer walks in, use Geelus for one of the following:
- Customer is dropping off a garment. You need to Place a new order / transaction.
- Customer is collecting an item; Make sure to mark the order collected. This will ensure you’ll get paid!
When a job is finished, whether it’s a garment cleaned or a pants shortened, mark it done:
- Scan the barcode or search by customer or order number
- Mark the job done by clicking on the 3 dots menu.
Through this simple process, Geelus will perform the following:
- Sends a text message (or email) to customer, letting them know their job is ready
- knows who did the job and therefore holds them responsible for it.
- Keeps track of productivity. So you’ll know how much (money) or how many minutes (alterations and tailoring) has been produced by each staff.
Throughout the day, employees interact with Geelus to:
- Check the orders due to be collected for each day by clicking on the calendar and selecting “Transactions due”. If the order is not done, take action and process the orders before the customer arrives to collect them!
- Notify the system that the job is done and ready to be collected by marking it done. This will immediately send an email/SMS to the customers to let them know. (this is optional but has proven to be a very powerful tool)
- If your staff is taking a break, he/she can simply sign out and sign back in when come back. (you can use a default break time applies to everyone if you prefer)
At the end of the day or shift for your staff, they should close the register. This will ensure your recorded figures matches the actual money you received from the customers.
To close the register, click “Tools” and select “Close register”.
